I will be sending home a Friday Folder with a weekly newsletter and any pertinent information for parents. This folder will also contain practice work pages for students to use at home throughout the week. These pages do not need to be returned but please send the folder back on the first day of school the following week. Please check your student's backpack daily for any time sensitive materials or completed work.

We will also be taking part in the Razzle-Dazzle Reader program this year. The reading goal for kindergarten is 10 books a week. This white sheet will be sent home in the Friday folder and the completed sheet will be sent back with the folder the next week. This will be addressed more thoroughly at Parent Information Night.

This year you will have the option to be part of a Take-Home Literacy Bag program. Every-other week you will be able to take home a book bag to interact with. The bags contain a read-aloud story, activities, and supplies. This began as my Master’s program project and I am so excited to be able to continue using these rich reading experiences with you and your child.
