Fourth grade is going to be an exciting year in art. The fourth graders will be reviewing the art elements through several projects using line, shape, texture, color, and space. They will also learn about value, pattern, and repetition in art. The fourth grade will learn about the proportions of the face in a self-portrait project. Your students will also learn about many artists and art movements from around the world. They will also be using several different mediums to create art. We will review the difference between two-dimensional and three-dimensional works in a clay sculpture project.
