5th Grade Art

Fifth grade is going to be a fantastic year in the art room. The fifth graders will be reviewing the art elements and principles of design that we have built upon these past several years. We will be learning about several artists/styles and connecting our projects to the themes we see. Some key points to the projects we will be exploring are based on balance, space, repetition, pattern, contrast, value and color theory. Your students will also learn about many art styles from around the world and apply this knowledge to their own individual artwork. Each student will be able to use several different media to create art in a way that is meaningful to them. I look forward to teaching your fifth grader art this year!
