First grade is going to be a fun year in art. The first graders will be learning the art elements through several projects using line, shape, texture, color, and space. They will be learning the basics of color mixing and the types of shapes in artwork. The first graders will also be learning about texture in a sculpture project. Your students will also learn about many artists from around the world. They will be using several different mediums to create art this year.
