    Hello!

    My name is Olivia Braun, and I’m proud to serve as the School Social Worker at Annandale Middle School. I hold both a bachelor's and master's degree in Social Work from St. Cloud State University. As a school social worker, my mission is to support your child’s academic, emotional, and social well-being. I work with all middle school students, with a focus on 6th graders and students receiving special education services. Our school counselor primarily supports students in 7th and 8th grade.

    What I Do

    School social workers serve as a vital link between home, school, and community. I work as part of both general education and special education teams to help students succeed. My services include:

    • Individual and group counseling

    • Crisis prevention and intervention

    • Student and parent support

    • Collaboration with community agencies and organizations

    • Teamwork with other student service professionals

    • Advocacy for students, families, and the school system

    • Special education pre-referral, assessments, and IEP-based services

    • Facilitating student groups on topics like:

      • Social skills

      • Stress management

      • Friendship building

      • Positive self-image

      • Healthy boundaries
