2020 School Board Election Information
Are you interested in becoming a school board member? The decision to run for your local school board is one to which much thought and consideration should be given. Serving as a school board member is one of the most important responsibilities that a citizen can undertake. If elected, the educational standards which you, together with your fellow board members, establish will affect the future of students, the community, and society. Being a board member is a complex and varied position, and often is frustrating as you struggle long hours with difficult choices. However, it is also rewarding, as you watch students succeed and go on to lead productive lives as a result of educational opportunities you helped create.
The general election will be held Tuesday, November 3, 2020. At that election, three (3) members will be elected to the school board for terms of four (4) years each. The Affidavit of Candidacy will be available beginning July 28, 2020, through 5:00 PM on August 11, 2020, in the Annandale Schools District Office, 125 Cherry Ave. N., Annandale, MN 55302. The filing fee for this office is $2. We can only accept cash or check payable to ISD 876.
Due to the current pandemic we are asking that candidates arrange a time to come into the district office by calling 320-274-5602 or by emailing Donna Koecher, email@example.com.
